Dante Cosplay

Well after submiting a small funny image of myself in my cosplay at comic con, and after some questions people have asked me, I finally have uploaded a image that contains various pictures of my cosplay.

Please excuse the camera, its not that great, some of the pictures are albit blurry. Anyway there are some pictures. I was going to have a sword to go with Dante, based the sword loosely on the first sword you have in the game, but eneded up not using it because I ran into a problem. That problem was being able to grab the guns out of the holsters, I couldnt reach and pull out the guns fast enough at the same time. The holsters were too far up my back to reach for them comfortably, Plus my friend and I could not come up with a way for me to be able to put the sword on my back, it was too heavy. But oh well, I spoted a cheap light cool looking sword the other day at a halloween store, I might buy it for the cosplay later.

Now onto the outfit. The pants and the jacket were made from pleather, but the pants were more of a fabric you would use on furniture..so they were extremly stiff. The holster was made from a material similar to the pants, but not as stiff. The jacket was made from a heavily modified halloween jacket pattern. She had to add a foot or two to the bottom of the jacket, add the 2 zippers, add the belt and belt loops, the shoulder loops, the ribbing on the back and the other ribbing thing on the sleeves. The holster pattern was made from scratch. I have to give most of the credit to her, she sewed most of the outfit, i just kinda cut the parts out and bought all the material.
